When I was a little boy (like, 5 y.o.), I used to say “bleshoo.” To my ears today, it sounds so adorable. I suppose that’s why my parents encouraged it with smiles and never told me I was saying it incorrectly. And then came elementary school. Kids are damn cruel, as we all know, and it was pretty quickly that I learned the lesson Banana is sharing with Apple in the second panel.
But gesundheit? I can’t join you there, Jay. “Gezoontype” … that’s something else. lol
When I was a kid I always thought that was an english expression cuz I didn’ learn german just then and the funny thing was that I was the one who looked wierd at my english teacher for saying “Bless you” the first time I sneezed on her class. XD
I didn’t know how to spell the second one until I saw Ryan’s comment. XD It makes me super uneasy when people say “Bless you” but I used to say bleshoo too. lol
