LGBT Webcomics
Unfortunately I can no longer maintain this list. However, I encourage you to drop your favorite webcomics in the comments below. Also consider checking out the Queer Comics Database for more great comics.
WARNING: Some Comics Contain Mature Content.
The content of these websites do not reflect the views or opinions of boyinpinkearmuffs.com. If you are the creator of any of these comics and would not like to be listed on this site, please contact me at boyinpinkearmuffs@gmail.com and I will remove any links to your site immediately.
Could anyone help me find a comic? I remember bookmarking it, but since I’m so disorganized, it’s just lost somewhere :/ I remember it being drawn in a unique, pretty cartoonish syle. It follows a teen who is trying to find out the true identity of his favourite author, which he is completely obsessed with, and gets helped by the “class clown” type character (and love interest) who has set up and office in the janitor’s closet and, if I remember correctly, is also his neighbour? The comic gets serious sometimes, but generally is very light-hearted. The main character is a really shy and nerdy kid. The cast also includes his best friend, his mom, the class clown’s “assistant”(??), and dad (I vaguely remember there being some sort of drama with his dad, but maybe I’m just confusing this with another webcomic). I think it’s also not hosted on a webcomic website like smackjeeves, tapas, etc. but has it’s own domain (or at least that’s what I remember readingg it on.

“Sister Claire” could be added to the list! It’s created by LGBT creators, features a large cast of LGBT characters, by Word of God no one is straight, and it’s just all around fantastic: https://www.sisterclaire.com/
Not going to happen. List is dead. Only commenting.

If you’re still adding to this list, Crash and Burn, http://cb-comic.com, is a queer space opera with a wide range of identities represented 🙂
I keep telling people who DESPERATELY want their comics or the comics they love to be added here will NEVER get the chances because this list is out of date and hasn’t been updated for a few years!
Take my advice, new LGBT comics really don’t need to be added here! Look at these comics, they’re SUPER popular and they’re not even listed here!

Proves you YOU DON’T this site to be recognized!!!!!
Lol, BL comics are popular, not queer comics necessarily. If the visual style is appealing with cute main characters, and the author guarantees that there will be sword fighting, then it will get attention. Sex sells after all.
Hell, I’ve been working with queer stuff for a while and my current, non-romance, comic is fiiiinally starting to get some attention after a shit ton of advertising. Also, despite having a decent reader base, the social media for my comic is pretty much uninhabited, even though I advertise them at every chance I get. Although, back when I drew nothing but kawaii boys kissing, I had a lot of active fans.
So yeah, no, queer comics need all the exposure they can get, even if it’s just in a comment section of a dead website. You saw this person’s post, so obviously SOME people read the comments.
I´m confused……..
Don’t know what there is to be confused about, unless you’re not an native English speaker, what I said was pretty simple to comprehend. Maybe you’re one of those kids who has trouble keeping focus reading bodies of text longer than a tweet?
BL (boys love) is popular because porn, and cute boys making-out. Every comic you listed to the OP as an example of successful “queer comics” was BL with mature/adult scenes, or extra porn content with cute boys. Queer/LGBT comics as a sub-genre are not very popular, I follow more than plenty with not even 1k readers. Since people (like you) obviously read through the comments on this list, there is nothing wrong with doing a bit of advertising in hopes of getting a couple views.
Also BL being queer comics is debatable since most of the peeps who make them are really horny chicks who just want to get their rocks off. I can even go into how a lot of them revolve around gross heteronormative stereotypes that het romance has.
TL;DR VERSION:
Boys love is popular cuz cute boys, kissing, and porn. LGBT comics (that do not have kissing and porn) are not super popular. Trying to keep creators from advertising their comics in a somewhat still active comment section is kinda shitty.
Boy must you go THAT far being a jerk by calling a stranger a kid???? FYI I live in the UK. I was confused because you RANDOMLY bought up the subject about ¨BL being more popular than queer comics ” which had absolutely NOTHING to do with what I replied to another person hoping to see the comic they like to be added to this ¨out-of-date list!
Yes people can still comment here, BUT people need to quit asking to be added here because they NEVER WILL and furthermore
there´s PLENTY of other lgbt sites for people to advertise!
About ¨queer¨ comics not super popular???? OMG there´s actually TONS of those kind of comics that are SUPER popular AND they´re not added here!!! Such as Always Human, Agents of the Realm, George and Johnny, Matter of Life and Death…….. They´re popular because they use money to advertise on other people´s website OR add their comics on webtoons for free! Webtoons is a huge comic site and new lgbt comics gets popular in a snap there! Tagpacker as well! Today´s new LGBT comics are NOW more popular than half of the ones that ARE listed here, and half of them are completed or discontinued! Also……. half of the creators of the comics I listed earlier in my other respond, they personally said that their comics are LGBT related and BL. Creator of Matter of Life and Death doesn´t like her comic to be labeled as BL.
People can still bring up new comics in the comments. By all means they can do that. BUT they sure need to learn to quit asking to be added here like they believe this is the ONLY site for LGBT webcomics to be recognized……
BTW you need to be careful with the word ¨queer¨ you can at least use lgbt comics, because you should know queer is not a good word. Just like fag and tranny.
I don’t see how calling someone a kid is an insult, your comments in this section seem very kid-like… but adults can have very kid-ish ways of typing. Also um, sweety, queer is a reclaimed word. Most of us use it as an umbrella term if we don’t want to specifying how we fit into the LGBTIQPA+ community, or if we don’t feel like using the latter term. Hell, most of the queer creators I follow use the word causally to define everything and anything LGBTIQPA+. (If the ‘we’, ‘us’ didn’t tip you off, I’m also part of the queer community) But if the word ‘queer’ offends you personally, I will stop using it while talking to you.
Lol, I literally pointed out that the comics you listed as popular were BL, then explained the reason why they were popular. It did have relevance, you just didn’t understand it, or care, or I didn’t word it correctly. Are you able to give more examples of popular non-BL comics? Is Always Human the only one? What about non-romanced focused queer comics? How do you know those comics pay for advertisement?
Also I don’t really know why you’re telling me about these resources like never heard of them, I use all of them for my comic. Just because one would host their comic on webtoons, advertise on twitter, the LGBT webcomics blog, The Slash Pile, Tagpackers, or anywhere else you can plug your work, doesn’t mean it’ll automatically get popular. As I said, I follow many queer comics (which I’ve found via those sites) that haven’t even broke 1k yet, and some of them have been around for a good few years now. Also I don’t know what bringing up the comics here have to do with anything? As you said they’re old, what does that have to do with the comics people are posting here now?
Unless you live in a bubble, it would be pretty obvious that BL is a popular subgenre than others, it was “out of control” popular when I was a kid, and it’s still one of the most recognisable (and most infamous) subgenres now… at least on the internet. Advertising helps, but if you go into the popular or trending tabs in Tapastic, or browse Smackjeeves, you’ll see quite a few comics with the ‘BL’ label. What really helped the comics you listed as well is the fact that their styles are appealing, and their boys were cute. It would be weird if they didn’t get a lot of attention.
FYI these people asking to get their comics posted can do whatever they want, they don’t HAVE to do anything, and you’re not their boss. Stalking this page just to tell people off, who’re doing no harm, is shitty. If they want to come onto this dead site to request for their comic to be posted, despite it obviously never happening, they have a right to. Maybe instead of throwing a tantrum about it you can just link resources without “STOP ASKING THAT! GOSH, CAN’T YOU SEE THIS SITE IS DEAD!!@2121!” But that’s just a suggestion to save you the headache, I’m not saying you HAVE to do that.
And really quick, webtoons isn’t an advertising resource, it’s a hosting site like Tapastic, Smackjeeves, Comicfury, and The Duck Webcomics. They can advertise your comic within their site (and maybe their twitter feed) if you’re one of their top comics, but other than that advertising is up to you. Tagpackers, LGBT webcomics, the slash pile, twitter, facebook, instagram, webcomic library, tumblr in general are all good places to advertise for free. Even using review sites that cater to webcomics, which you can just google “webcomic reviews”, is a good way to advertise.
Alright, so this was detected as spam several days ago, and has yet to be evaluated. So I’m splitting this up.

(If the ‘we’, ‘us’ didn’t tip you off, I’m also part of the queer community) Other people like the (non-cis/het) person who runs ‘Yes Homo’, a webcomic review blog, and there’s even a cataloging site called ‘Queer Cartoonists’. But if the word ‘queer’ offends you personally, I will stop using it while talking to you.

Bad connections and just now got this reply………”being detected a spam”……Because these people Know I’m right, but everyone is too retarded to admit it.
And thank you for this fake philosophy but drtl. Though I am going respond a few……. yeah being called a child IS pretty insulting to half the world at least if you go out more often and be careful saying that to ratchet people if you don’t want to get “yo-ass-whoop!” LMFAO!!!!!!
” How do I know these comics pay for advertisement? ” because i go to many comic conventions and spoke and met HUNDREDS of these creators who makes them and tells me everything! Like said you just need to find other BETTER ways!!!
Boy is your eyesight bad? There’s a BUNCH of gay comics listed than JUST “Always Human. LMFAO you call that “throwing a tantrum” it’s called doing my own job. I enjoy doing it.
I would like to point out real quick that the word ‘retard’ is much more offensive than the word ‘queer.’ It’s a slap in the face to those with disabilities.
So, if you’re not going to use nice language, you don’t get the right to reprimand others about their language.
Thank you for feeding the troll ^^
You’re a funny guy, my dear Rangiku. If you really cared about how “late this argument is,” you would’ve simply ignored my comment, but instead you went for trying to upset me, which *guarantees* a reply from me.
Not only that, but you completely ignored what I said, which to me, translates to, “I HAvE nO IDeA HoW T0 MakE AN argUEMenT FoR Mys3LF, S0 inSTEaD I’M GOnnA anTAGonIZe hIM IN AN AtTEMPt T0 steER HiM AwaY Fr0m WHaT hE SAid!!!!!!!!!!!”
You’re right. This is fun. I like seeing how childish you can make yourself sound.
Look Who’s Talking MISTER HYPOCRITE! YOU THINK I GIVE A SHIT?
YAAAY!!!!! PLEASE KEEP WASTING YOUR TIME LIKE AN IDIOT WITH BALLS!!!!!! I LOVE THIS ATTENTION!!!!!!!! THE FAMOUS RANGIKU IKKAKU FROM BLEACH HAS A NEW GAY FAN NAMED JACKSON!!!!!!!
…you interested? You seem date-able. You’d certainly make for an amusing relationship. 😉
Naw not interested. I love my bald guy. See?

Thank you for feeding the troll!!!! Good thing you don’t give a shit how late this argument is because THIS IS FUN!!!!!!
but if people put a link in the comments then they will get found so it’s not a problem
YES EXACTLY! That’s the ONLY way! People need to learn that since there’s no way to get their comics on the main display like they stupidly keep asking! ^^
